Arben Kryeziu

Co-Founder, mbloom

A serial entrepreneur – from age 12 – Arben Kryeziu is the founder and CEO of numerous cutting edge technology firms covering a wide range of industries including Fortune 500 companies. His natural balance of insight and experience enables him to seamlessly meld intricate facets - like technology, marketing, business strategy, branding, and design - to deliver an efficient path to success. Arben currently continues his role as the heart and soul of award-winning creative digital agency, Bump Networks, where he lives by his mantra: "There are no technical boundaries, only the limitations of our own imagination."

Nick Bicanic

Co-Founder, mbloom

Nick is a uniquely gifted individual with the rare capability to mix and direct leftbrain and right-brain talents to achieve his determined goals. He is equally at home windsurfing a crushing north swell, behind the controls of a helicopter, convincing a board about strategic changes of direction, field-stripping a SIG 552 Commando blind-folded or inventing new paradigms in mobile phone user interface design.

Born and raised in Croatia, Nick graduated with an MA in Chemistry from Cambridge University before moving on to focus his true passion at the bleeding edge of modern communications technology.
Nick’s last venture was funded by Silicon Valley luminaries including Google Ventures and BullPen Capital.

In addition to his technical skills Nick has won numerous awards in filmmaking – including 4 LEO awards for a documentary about Private Military Companies entitled “Shadow Company”.
Nick is currently the CEO of Flikdate and one of the partners in Mbloom.

Jamie Dinkelacker

Director of Engineering, Google Niantic Labs

Jamie Dinkelacker serves as Director of Engineering for Google's Niantic Labs. He previously served an engineering manager for Google Maps, Google's Launch Team, and Google's Enterprise Group. Jamie has deep expertise with lean and agile development, leading highly technical teams, new product development, and product management. Jamie is also a co-chair of the Maui Software Initiative, a private enterprise group focused on evolving Maui into a software technology center for the Pacific Rim, and he is a member of the University of Hawaii Maui College Advisory Board for their Applied Business and Information Technology program.

Kevin Jardine is presently founder, CEO and President of Jardine Capital Corp., a diversified investment and Brand Development Company, that specializes in consumer branded and strategic businesses. Brad began his solar career 13 years ago in Northern California installing solar electric systems (aka photovoltaic or PV systems). Brad Moved to Hawaii In 2002 and pioneered grid-tie PV systems on Maui. Brad grew his solar business from a spare room in his house to what it is today

Doug Nelson

CEO, Kinection

Doug Nelson (CEO, Kinection) is an entrepreneur, producer, and designer with a deep background in education, interactive media, and digital games. He has served as lead designer on game-based learning projects over the last 12 years, building games for clients as diverse as the US Army, Cisco Systems, the Center for Third World Organizing, and the Ford Foundation. Recently he’s been drinking the Lean Startup Kool-Aid and doing customer development for a new digital media startup.

Jeanne Unemori Skog

President & CEO, Maui Economic Development Board, Inc. (MEDB)

Jeanne Skog heads MEDB, a 32-year old nonprofit organization dedicated to building pathways to innovation, jobs and opportunity. Jeanne spearheaded the High Tech Maui program that attracts and assists technology sectors in Maui County. Under her leadership, MEDB prepares residents for careers founded on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), an initiative that now serves 45,000 students, teachers and businesses statewide. She also serves on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations who share the goal of developing and strengthening business in Maui County.

Keith Powers

Keith Powers has been active in start-ups, investments and building world-class companies and organizations for almost 20 years. He is currently a Managing Partner at Engaged Partners, LLC, and works closely with inventors, entrepreneurs, investors, philanthropists, and CEO's to help them take their passions to the next level. He is currently developing a large scale incentive prize to foster breakthroughs in health and longevity and he has held senior leadership positions at REI Capital, the X PRIZE Foundation, Prize Capital, Singularity University, City Year, Sun Apparel-The Polo Jeans Company, Zaya, Khan Academy and Zepp Technologies. Sara Smith

CEO, Wrappily

Sara Smith has worked in publishing for over ten years, she is an entrepreneur, gardner, cook, mom, writer, and hell-bent on doing it all. Sara graduated from University of Colorado-Boulder with a B.S. in Journalism and a B.A. in Fine Art. She lives on Maui with her family and is an active member of the community. When she’s not wrangling her two kiddos, she’s hustling from her home office. Smith is founder and CEO of Wrappily.

Tina Fitch

Mentor, Blue Startups

Tina Fitch is a product-oriented, repeat entrepreneur with deep experience in global business development, finance and strategy. She acts as an advisor to several early stage technology companies, is a lead mentor at Blue Startups, a Hawaii-based accelerator, and has also advised SKAI Ventures, a diversified technology incubator.
Previously, Ms. Fitch was the co-founder and CEO of Switchfly, a leading software platform for the travel commerce, loyalty, and financial services industries. She led it from inception to supporting over $1bn in annual transactions.
Prior to Switchfly, Ms. Fitch was on the founding team of Oakwood International, a private equity joint venture, investing and developing assets in markets throughout Asia and Europe, including Shanghai, Manila, Singapore, London, Paris and Tokyo . Earlier in her career, Ms. Fitch worked on economic analysis and development strategy with NGOs such as the UNDP, Ford Foundation, NBER and Seoul Development Institute. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Economics and attended Beijing University and Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.
